My name is Julie Della Penna. I am a wife, a daughter, a sister and a lover of scrapbooking!

I started scrapbooking about 5 years ago as a hobby, it quickly evolved into much more than that. It is a passion of mine, not only to capture the special memories in my life but for others as well. I realized my true talent and joy for scrapbooking when I completed a life album for my husband’s grandmother for her 100th birthday. She had not seen many of the pictures in the album in years, they were hidden away in a closet. The joy it brought to her as she began reminiscing and retelling the stories behind the pictures was a once in a lifetime moment.

My design style ranges from simple to elaborate, but always with the emphasis on the pictures and the stories behind them. I love trying new techniques and keep up-to-date on the latest trends.

What is a scrapbook? And Why should I get one made? A scrapbook is much more than a photo album. So many of us spend time and money capturing pictures of our favorite moments in life but keep them tucked away in photo boxes in the closet or saved on the computer. Pictures are meant to be shared with others and remind us of special, treasured moments. Cherish these beautiful memories by allowing me to bring them to life in a scrapbook. If your photos are in shoe boxes or magnetic photo albums, they deteriorate over time. Generally photo deterioration is due to two things; the chemicals of the photo itself and the environment in which it is stored. We can't do anything about the chemical make up of a photo but we can change the way we store our photos. Other than scrapbooks, photos need to be stored in acid-free/ lignin-free containers and in cool environments. You can easily find photo safe storage boxes and albums these days at any number of retailers.
